Delete your account

In the app

1. Open the Brief screen.
2. Tap the round button at the top right.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Type the email you sign in with, then tap Delete my account.

The app needs signal for this, because the request has to reach Structify.

On the web

1. Sign in to Structify on the web and open Settings.
2. Under Profile, press Delete account.
3. Type the email you sign in with, then press Delete my account.

The card then shows the date your account will be deleted. The same rules below apply. Can't sign in? Email hello@buildwithstructify.com from the email address on the account and we will delete it for you.

What happens next

• Booked 14 days out. Your account is booked for deletion 14 days from the day you ask. Asking again does not push the date out.
• Signed out of the app. Every session of yours in the app ends straight away. On the web you stay signed in until you sign out; staying signed in does not cancel the deletion.
• Change your mind. Sign in again before the date, on the web or in the app, by any method, and the deletion is cancelled. We email you to say so, and your account and jobs stay as they were.
• Then it is removed. On the date, your login and your personal details are removed.

Your company's jobs

What happens to the jobs depends on who else uses your company in Structify.

• You are the only person in the company. Its jobs, drawings and records are deleted with your account. If you want a copy of anything, download it from Structify on the web before the date.
• Other people stay and another owner remains. The jobs stay with the company. Only your login and your personal details are removed: messages, approvals and records you made in its jobs stay, shown as from a former team member.
• You are the only owner and other people still use the company. We will not delete the account until someone else is made an owner, so a working company is never left without one. Make one of them an owner in Settings, Team, then ask again.
• You pay for Structify for your team. If your plan is the one covering a company other people still use, and no other owner pays, we will not delete the account until another owner takes over the plan, in Billing on the web. Their plan starts straight away and yours is cancelled with a credit for the unused days, so the team keeps working.

The app and the web tell you which of these applies to each company you are in. If you are the only owner, they stop you first and say why. If either becomes true after you ask (the other owner leaves, or stops paying), nothing is deleted on the date: we email you to say why, and the booking waits until you sort it out.

What we keep and why

We delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period (typically 90 days), as set out under Data Retention in our Privacy Policy. The exceptions are:

• Records we are required to keep to meet legal, tax, accounting or audit obligations.
• Records we need to resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements.
• Aggregated, de-identified data, such as statistics from use of the service, which cannot be traced back to you.
• The jobs of a company that other people still use, as described above. They stay with that company.
