What builders ask before the first job.
What do I upload?
The PDF of the drawing set. Floor plans are enough to start. Sections, elevations, schedules and the consultants' drawings make the estimate fuller, and Structify sorts the sheets for you.
How long does it take?
A few minutes for a typical house set. You can keep working while it reads, and the estimate opens on the job when it's done.
What comes back?
A trade-by-trade estimate with every line shown: the quantity, the rate and the sheet it came from. Each line says whether it was measured off the drawings, calculated from what was measured, or is an allowance for you to check.
What if something isn't on the drawings?
It is never guessed and passed off as measured. Work the drawings don't show is either left out with the reason in plain words, so it prints that way on your client quote, or carried as a named allowance you can see and change.
Does it use my rates?
Yes. Every line is editable, so you can put your own rate on any line by hand. On Pro you can upload your rate card or a supplier price list as CSV, Excel or PDF, and every estimate prices on your numbers. Until then it prices on our rates for the job's finish level and state.
What happens when the architect re-issues the drawings?
Upload the new set and Structify reads it again and compares it with the last one, so you see what changed on the drawings and what it did to the price, line by line. A Job includes one re-issued set; Pro reads every re-issued set on its jobs.
What can I do with the estimate?
Send the client a quote with the allowances in plain words and your margin and rates hidden, cut tender packages for your trades from the same quantities, and carry the job through to the programme, variations and progress claims in the same place.
What does it cost?
Your first estimate is free when you sign up on your company email, with no card: you see the whole estimate on that job. After that, each job's estimate is A$99, paid once. Pro is for running several jobs a month: the agents automate the paperwork (tenders, call-ups, variations and claims drafted for you to check), and it starts with a 14-day free trial.
